color-view™ Spectrophotometer User’s Guide

1.4 HOST COMPUTER

The color-view™ spectrophotometer requires a host computer and

operating software. BYK-Gardner USA offers various Windows®

based computers for use with the instrument sensor unit.

Computer requirements are mainly dictated by the operating system

software. The computer selected should have sufficient memory and

disk space to support both the operating system and the BYK-

Gardner software. See the software documentation for more

information.

1.4.1 Host Computer Options

The following host computer options are required:

• 1 Printer Port addressed as LPT1.

• 1 Mouse.

• 1 RS232 Port addressed as COM1.

1.4.2 Power Requirements

The power requirements for the color-view™ Spectrophotometer

system are summarized in Table 1-4.
