Interface Selection

Start with the auto-chart program

running.

You can change the port in the

interface selection area. For changing

the port, click on the drop down field

and select “auto”.

If the instrument was not detected

make sure it was installed as COM

1. Installation of the driver

Insert the auto-chart CD-ROM.

As you plug the device to the USB

port of the computer, it is recognized

by the system and the hardware

assistant opens.

Choose “Install from a list” and click

the button “Next”. Select the folder

“USB Driver” from the auto-chart CD.

The driver setup begins. Note that if a

window displays a choice of buttons

to “Continue Anyway” or “Stop Instal-

lation” click on “Continue Anyway”.

The driver’s installation is completed

by clicking the “Finish” button.

After short time the hardware assistant

opens for the port installation.

2. Installation of USB serial port

Continue the installation as described

above by following the instructions.

After the setup is completed, follow

any on-screen instruction (e.g. “Restart

Computer”).
